ABOUT ME

Emily Owen is a multidisciplinary artist and scholar currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree from the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago in the field of Arts Administration and Policy.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a dual degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Emily's practice and research revolves around the ways artists think and act creatively and how this creativity can be translated to bridge diverse fields

This website showcases Emily's thesis projects, which investigate the the ways artists think and solve problems creatively and tests examples of the ways arts thinking can be used as a strategy to bring innovation, diverse methods, and changemaking to projects and organizations in traditionally non-arts contexts (such as in urban planning, local government, and the business sector).  The outcomes and documentation of these projects can be explored within this website.
